Golfers at Kelmscott Apartments in Lake Forest can enjoy a round of golf at one of the many beautiful golf courses nearby. Here are some favorites:

Deerpath Golf Club

This is a popular 18-hole public course open from mid-March to December based on local weather. Deerpath Golf Course measures 6,255 yards from the back tees for a par-70. The women’s tees measure 5,454 yards for a par-72.

The course is bordered by mature trees, ponds, and streams. Lake Forest golfers are encouraged to become seasonal pass holders for preferred tee times. This course has a grass tee driving range and chipping area. A clubhouse with a restaurant and a pro shop are also available.

The DiscoverGolf program is offered to adults and juniors who want to learn the game. Adults of all levels are encouraged to take lessons tailored to their individual needs and experience the “inner game” to improve their skills.

Junior golfers are offered a special golf academy camp with the DiscoverGolf program. Instruction takes place on the course using a holistic approach as the youngsters learn the basics of the game. A DiscoverGolf App is available for golfers of all ages.

Lake Bluff Golf Club

This course is located on the North Shore just north of Lake Forest. The Lake Bluff Golf Club course measures 6,589 yards from the back tees with three additional tees for golfers of all levels. This is a par-72 course that is easy to walk.

As the home practice course for the Lake Forest High School Boys golf team and the host for the annual Lake County Amateur tournament, this course is a local favorite. It offers a restaurant and pro shop with lessons that include a Golf After School program for children ages 7-11.

Conway Farms Golf Course

This golf club on 209 acres opened in Lake Forest in 1991. The Conway Farms Golf Club was designed by Tom Fazio as a Scottish links course. Golfers are encouraged to walk the par-71 course that measures 7,233 yards from the back tees. The front tees measure 5,146 yards. The course has hosted the BMW Classic in odd-number years since 2013. This challenging course takes full advantage of natural vegetation with added bunkers and water hazards.
