John & Nancy Hughes Theater

The focal point and heart of the center host cultural events including symphonies, dance studios, music recitals, and other performing arts. It also has a state-of-the-art cinema system, with a robust mix of ongoing film presentations. The theater can accommodate up to 300 people.

Stuart Community Room

This room is also an excellent space to host lectures, concerts, luncheons and other events for smaller groups of up to 150 people. Projection and screen equipment, as well as an excellent sound system are available here also. Both the theater and the Stuart Room are set up with Hearing Loop technology.

Rental Spaces

Looking for somewhere to host your own event? You may not need a space as large as the two rooms listed above. Gorton Community Center offers many other sizes of rooms for your particular event. Office meetings, family events or celebrations of any size are welcome. Spaces can be rented by the day, or even by the hour. Some rooms also offer kitchen facilities adjacent to the space. Look no further if you need to locate the perfect place to host any event.

Even if you don’t need to rent space for your own event, check the calendar for upcoming activities and drop by. There is always something going on at Gorton Community Center. Art workshops, yoga, meditation, sewing, Zumba classes. Writing, self-help, acting, comedy, cooking, fencing, card games, multiple events for children, etc. There is no doubt you will find something to grab your interest and attention.
