1st Annual Lake County Cajun Seafood Boil and Party

This inaugural event brings the richness of Cajun cooking to Illinois. On November 16 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., $35 will get you crawfish, shrimp, gumbo, alligator, and boudin all cooked to Cajun perfection. On November 20th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., don’t miss the chance to taste over 40 different bourbons at Gold Eagle Wine and Spirits. $25 gets you bourbon samples, appetizers, a glass, and discounted pricing on all the bourbons at the tasting. The Complete BBQ and Craft Beer Experience

On November 21st at 6:30 p.m., head to the Chicago Culinary Kitchen to learn how to make perfect pairings of BBQ and craft beer. Pitmasters Greg and Kristina Gaardbo will walk you through several courses of smoked meats and beer while sharing the basics of food pairing. For $85, taste smoked sausages, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and brisket along with six different sample pours of the perfect craft beer pairings to complement each course.
